Yesterday Ossi had I had a good walk to Jokes house and had a nice chat with her and friends. Suddenly Joke introduced us to her new instrument the "XIAO" a Chinese flute made of bamboo. It's a pretty long and small flute and at first I couldn't imagine how there will be a tone coming out. She asked us to try and Ossi really got out some tone. Lida did as well and then Joke was playing it! How delighting! I fell in love immediately and thought to stay there for ever. The tones are very soft and soothing. My thoughts went back to times in Japan strolling through a old shrine and listening the monks playing and singing. Until know her skills are limited because she just started to play the Xiao. I have no doubts that she will be skillfully playing it in a short time. Joke - we are patiently waiting for it :)
